La llegada a Bratislava en barco
Quizás el más bonito modo de transporte a Bratislava es por el río Danubio. El canal Rýn-Mohan-Dunaj une Bratislava con el Mar Negro y el Mar del Norte. Las excursiones en barco por el río Danubio se han convertido, en los últimos años, en extremadamente populares. Existe una línea regular entre Bratislava y Budapest y tres veces al día Twin City Liner entre Bratislava y Viena (no existe en invierno).
El puerto de Bratislava se encuentra directamente en el centro de la ciudad, cerca de la zona peatonal, de los principales monumentos históricos y de numerosos restaurantes y cafeterías. Cada año desembarcan en el puerto de Bratislava unos 300 000 pasajeros.
Sea cual sea la manera de llegar a Bratislava, no debería perderse la excursión en barco hacia el castillo Devín que se extiende sobre la confluencia de los ríos Danubio y Morava. Es también muy agradable la excursión a un pueblo vienés cercano llamado Hainburg o, en dirección contraria, hacia el embalse Gabcíkovo.
